Overview

The Everest Base Camp trek is an unmissable adventure that combines the convenience of well-maintained paths with the raw, untamed beauty of the Himalayas. Situated perfectly in the lap of the mighty Himalayas, the Everest region is globally renowned not just for its breathtaking alpine scenery, but also for its exceptionally welcoming Sherpa people. This adventure takes you far beyond a simple hike; it physically brings you to the base of the world's highest peak while completely immersing you in the rich spiritual culture, ancient traditions, and fascinating history of Nepal. The 14-day Everest Base Camp trek will lead you to a staggering height of roughly 5,364 meters. From this incredible vantage point, and throughout the journey, you are guaranteed panoramic, unobstructed views of several 8,000-meter-high summits. You will bear witness to the incredible, towering presence of Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, Lobuche, Ama Dablam, and countless other peaks, culminating in the iconic Mt. Everest itself. The journey begins with a thrilling and breathtaking 35-minute flight from the bustling capital of Kathmandu to the cliffside airstrip of Lukla. The ensuing walk is undoubtedly challenging, requiring strong physical stamina, but the diverse and beautiful scenery—ranging from verdant, lush alpine forests and terraced farmland to barren hills and massive glaciers—will constantly inspire you to keep pushing forward. We will depart the vibrant Namche Bazaar after a crucial day of acclimatization and continue our trek to Tengboche, where we visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. Continuing the rigorous journey, we hike to the high-altitude settlement of Gorak Shep and walk directly alongside the massive Khumbu Glacier—the world's deepest glacier—until we finally reach Mount Everest Base Camp. The following day, we start before dawn to hike up the steep slopes of Kala Patthar. Here, we are rewarded with the majestic, golden sunrise over Mt. Everest and the surrounding Himalayan amphitheater, before descending safely and eventually flying back to Kathmandu to conclude this once-in-a-lifetime EBC trek.

Day 2
Fly to Lukla (2,840m) & Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
We start early in the morning, transferring to the domestic terminal for a thrilling, 35-minute scenic mountain flight to the famous Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla.
Day 3
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today's trek is challenging but incredibly rewarding. We cross several high suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge adorned with countless colorful prayer flags.
Day 4
Acclimatization Day at Namche. Hike to Everest View Hotel
To prevent altitude sickness, it is absolutely critical that we spend a day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. We will stay active by taking a steep hike up to the Everest View Hotel (3,880m).
Day 5
Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
Leaving Namche, the trail is initially smooth and offers magnificent views of the Himalayas. We descend sharply to the river at Phunki Tenga, a perfect spot for a quick lunch.
Day 6
Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)
We begin our morning with a descent through a beautiful, ancient forest of birch, conifer, and rhododendron trees to the village of Debuche.
Day 7
Acclimatization Day at Dingboche. Hike to Nangkartsang Peak
This is our crucial second acclimatization day. To help our bodies adjust to the increasingly thin air, we take an acclimatization hike up the steep ridge of Nangkartsang Peak (5,083m).
Day 8
Trek to Lobuche (4,940m)
The trail today gradually gains altitude as we trek along the lateral moraine of the massive Khumbu Glacier. The landscape is stark, rocky, and profoundly beautiful.
Day 9
Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and back to Gorak Shep
The big day has arrived! We trek cautiously across rocky dunes, moraine, and streams to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Base Camp.
Day 10
Morning Hike to Kala Patthar (5,555m) & Descend to Pheriche
We wake up well before dawn, braving the freezing, sub-zero temperatures for a steep, demanding 2-hour hike up Kala Patthar.
Day 11
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
The trail drops significantly today as we happily leave the barren alpine desert behind and return to the greener pastures.
Day 12
Trek to Lukla (2,840m)
This is our final, emotional day of walking! We retrace our steps down the steep trail to the Dudh Koshi river.
Day 13
Flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla
We wake up early, cross our fingers for clear weather, and board our small Twin Otter aircraft for the thrilling morning flight back.
Day 14

Your incredible 14-day Everest Base Camp adventure has finally come to an end.
