Travel with care
Responsible Tourism
Small decisions on the trail affect local communities, staff, wildlife, and the mountain environment.
Respect communities and culture
Ask permission before photographing people or religious spaces. Follow local guidance at monasteries and villages, dress appropriately, and support locally run accommodation and services where suitable.
Reduce trail impact
Carry reusable bottles where safe refills or treated water are available, take litter out, stay on established paths, and follow protected-area rules. Wildlife should be observed at a distance and never fed.
Treat trekking staff fairly
Before departure, ask us about the team size, load arrangements, equipment, pay, and cover for the people supporting your trip. We welcome questions about how your trek is staffed and managed.
