Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking, preparing for, and experiencing your Himalayan adventure.

Booking & Payments

We recommend booking at least 2-3 months in advance, especially if you are planning to trek during the peak seasons (Spring: March to May, and Autumn: September to November). This gives us ample time to secure domestic flights, permits, and the best teahouse accommodations.
We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) via our secure online payment gateway, as well as direct bank transfers. A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due upon your arrival in Kathmandu.
The initial 20% deposit is non-refundable as it covers upfront costs such as permits and reservations. However, if you notify us at least 30 days prior to departure, we can transfer your deposit to a future trek within one calendar year. Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details.

Health & Safety

Our guides are highly trained in Wilderness First Aid and carry oximeters to monitor your oxygen levels daily. If you show mild symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), we will adjust the pace or rest. If symptoms worsen, the guide will arrange for an immediate descent or, in severe cases, a helicopter evacuation.
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is strictly mandatory. Your policy must cover high-altitude trekking (up to 6,000m depending on your route), medical expenses, and emergency helicopter evacuation. You will need to provide proof of insurance before the trek begins.
We do not recommend drinking tap or river water directly. You can purchase bottled water, but to minimize plastic waste, we highly encourage bringing a reusable bottle and water purification tablets or a filtered bottle (like LifeStraw). Boiled water is also available at teahouses for a small fee.

On The Trail

Difficulty varies by route. Treks like Ghorepani Poon Hill are considered moderate and suitable for beginners, while Everest Base Camp or the Annapurna Circuit require a good level of physical fitness and stamina as you will be hiking 5-7 hours a day at high altitudes.
Most of our treks utilize 'teahouses'—local mountain lodges. They provide basic but comfortable private rooms (usually twin beds), shared bathrooms, and communal dining areas heated by a central stove. Wi-Fi and hot showers are available at many, though usually for an extra charge.
For the ethical treatment of our staff, we strictly limit a porter's load to a maximum of 20kg (10kg per trekker, as one porter typically carries gear for two people). You will only need to carry a small daypack with your daily essentials (water, camera, jacket, sunscreen).
